Still life Pastels

The act of focusing and 'seeing' elevates the most humble object. The drawing gives it status and meaning, imbues it with a greater significance and symbolic presence. 

The sumptuous qualities of fruit and materials are captured in my use of soft pastels that allow me to blend colour subtly in layers
